The Washington, DC Bureau, Part 1 provides access to bureau records documenting the administrations of eleven US presidents (1938-2009). This collection also includes biographical files maintained for the purpose of writing obituaries -- files on statesmen, entertainers, scientists, politicians, and other prominent people ranging from Indira Gandhi to John Lennon to Cesar Chavez. In addition, the collection offers extensive coverage of US elections and campaigns.
