Interview with Andrew Barker, Director of Library Services & Learning Development at Lancaster University

In a recent interview, Andrew Barker, Director of Library Services & Learning Development at Lancaster University spoke to us about how having access to Gale Primary Sources archives has elevated the University Library's position. This is true with regards to being on a par with Russell Group universities in university ranking tables and is also borne out in how students and researchers have responded to this acquisition.

Lancaster University has been given an overall student satisfaction score of 83.6% in this year's (2022) National Student Survey (NSS), ranking 1st in the North, 8th in England and 11th in the UK when compared to other universities.

In this video, Andrew talks about how working with partners like Gale have really helped the library aspirations to respond to and match the expectations of students and academics.
