Now known as Gale In Context: Elementary, this beloved database for children not only has a new name, it includes enhancements to increase student engagement and support instruction as schools integrate virtual learning. Elementary school resources like Gale In Context: Elementary give children a safe place to find answers to their questions, practice research skills, and explore interests inside and outside the classroom. It also gives teachers access to digital resources that can supplement and enhance instruction.
Gale In Context: Elementary, formerly Kids InfoBits, gradually lets elementary school children gain comfort with research by delivering age-appropriate, reliable, curriculum-related content covering a broad range of subjects taught in the classroom like animals, arts and music, social studies, and more. Unlike other classroom databases, Elementary offers kids through grade 5 a platform with rich visuals that will encourage their natural curiosity and get them excited about learning.
With a modern design and intuitive search functions, Gale In Context: Elementary database makes it easy for elementary school children, teachers, and parents to find information related to classroom lessons in articles, magazines, books, periodicals, and reference materials, and plan fun activities to promote learning. These resources include full-text proprietary content from top education publishers like Encyclopaedia Brittanica, Blackbirch Press, KidsPost from the Washington Post, Youngzine, and more. Content is continuously updated, providing kids a way to easily search for relevant and important facts connected to current and past events.
